Traveling from town to town for our ancestors was a beautiful thing --no billboards, just gorgeous scenes, one after the other.  Not that it wasn't difficult or dangerous, but generally it was a wonderful visual experience. And Imagine the night sky without light contamination like we have now! So I'll produce these little landscapes as interludes between our bigger themes, and hope you enjoy them and can imagine yourself on the road between towns and villages in the hills our Lord once experienced, enjoying the sights of earth and sky.

On another note --I'd like to give you a heads-up on what is coming next Sunday, December 8.  I'll show you some prelimininary sketches in the next few days of my plan, but let's just say it involves a member of the church named Joseph and has to do with the visitation of the angel to another Joe, as told in Gospel of Matthew. That is an overlooked artistic opportunity!
